Jolie Sees Benefit in US Surge in Iraq
A similar number fled Iraq to escape the bloodshed. "It will be quite a while before Iraq is ready to absorb more than 4 million refugees and displaced people," Jolie wrote. "But it is not too early to start working on solutions." The actress, who works on behalf of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, urged America's presidential candidates and congressional leaders to step up financing for aid to displaced Iraqis. UNHCR has asked for $261 million this year -- "less than the U.S. spends each day to fight the war in Iraq," she wrote. Addressing the question of whether the "troop surge" has worked, Jolie said that "I can only state what I witnessed." "When I asked the troops if they wanted to go home as soon as possible, they said that they miss home but feel invested in Iraq," she wrote.
Clinton is 'honored' - so is she history, too?
People, focus on this for a moment. 1. Democrats in this country seem to be hitching their wagons in droves behind a candidate (Obama) who is little more than a junior senator with absolutely no experience in foriegn affairs or policy. Hence all the talk of hope and change ! In reality, what hope and change ? Ask yourself……… What's wrong with this picture ? 2. Just about everything that comes out of Hillary Clinton's mouth is complete B.S. for instance, the Clintons have probably received more campaign contributions from special interest groups and been involved in more scandals during "their" tenure than just about any president I can think of in the recent past. Ask yourself people, do you really think that will make the special interest groups go away as she claims she will do in this article ? Wake up America !!!! .
Kristol: Obama's path to victory
Last summer, George W. Bush told The Washington Examiner's Bill Sammon that Hillary Clinton would probably be the 2008 Democratic nominee. "She's got a national presence and this is becoming a national primary," he said. "And therefore the person with the national presence who has got the ability to raise enough money to sustain an effort in a multiplicity of sites has got a good chance to be nominated." This seemed a reasonable judgment at the time. It may still turn out to be right. But today Barack Obama is neck-and-neck with Clinton in the national polls - and he's shown a greater ability to raise money. After his strong showing over the weekend, it is Obama who now has the clearer path to his party's nomination. I'll avoid a false precision in the numbers that follow.

Banks cashing in on border crossers
The big banks must be loving the recent surge in cross-border shopping.Almost every time you buy something in the United States, your bank makes a few bucks in fees of one sort or another. Expect to pay far more in fees than if you bought something here at home. While the Canadian dollar had a bad day yesterday, it's high enough compared to the U.S. dollar that people are pouring across the border to shop. .

Fancier fabrics making a comeback in cars
The trend toward accessible luxury has been well-documented in recent years. Brands like Coach and Louis Vuitton have become household names, and mainstream stores like Target have recruited famous designers to provide signature products at affordable prices. So it's not surprising that coddled consumers have also sought luxury in their cars — even those from plain-jane mainstream brands. Maybe we are running low on cowhide or maybe people are just looking for something different, but fabric is making a comeback inside cars, and their designers are returning to high-quality materials that are so nice some customers may actually prefer them. These fabrics are appearing in adventuresome color combinations that spice up previously predictably dull cabins, and there is an emerging array of synthetic materials that look and feel convincingly like leather and suede that can be combined with the new fabrics for an exciting multi-material appearance.
KELLER'S TNA IMPACT REPORT 2/21: Angle vs. Booker headlines, plus PPV ...
Booker T main event. 1 -- A.J. STYLES & TOMKO vs. "BULLET" BOB ARMSTRONG & KIP JAMES (w/B.G. James) B.G. came to the ring on crutches. The announcers had the challenge of recapping everything going on with Styles, Tomko (and Christian), and Kip and the James family. Styles gave Kip a Pele out of nowhere followed quickly by a Tomko running clothesline in a nice sequence at 2:00. Karen then walked to the ring. Bob tagged in and threw some chops. If Ric Flair sees this, he's never going to retire. B.G. tossed a cutch to Kip, but Kip turned heel and hit Bob with it. Tomko rolled on top of Bob for the opportunistic pin. WINNERS: Tomko & Styles in 3:00. -After the match, B.G. tried to get into the ring to tend to his dad, but Kip hit him with crutches, too. Tenay said ten years of history just came to an end.
